FIRST RESPONDER COUNSELING
Counseling for first responders, spouses and their family members.
First responders and their spouses and families have unique struggles in addition to the everyday challenges of marriage and family. The dynamic of a first responder family is like no other. As a fire fighter's wife, I realize how much our first responders and their families need the support from someone who "gets it." There is trauma and many life disruptions that a first responder family experiences — from experiencing chronic, repeated exposure to everyone's worst day to adjusting to missing many major life events, holidays, and even natural disasters at home with their family — the toll this must take on every aspect of a first responder's life is far reaching and affects their overall wellbeing, enforcing the incredible need for resources and the need to build resilience. It is my joy to begin a confidential, nonjudgmental, healing journey with first responders and their spouses and families through the counseling process.
